Timo Glock and Toyota were fastest during the seventh and penultimate day of Formula One's marathon Bahrain test.Windy conditions made it difficult for the drivers but did not stop them from running.
Glock logged 132 laps as once again Toyota ran without major drama."That was another good day for us," Glock said.
"We didn't have any major problems and we again made it through a lot of work. We concentrated on setup and went through our program smoothly.
"It has been a bit tricky to drive today because there was a lot of wind, which was also blowing from a different direction to yesterday when Jarno [Trulli] was driving. But in the end I'm happy that we did so much work and it's positive that we found some useful directions to work with."
In contrast, both Ferrari and BMW Sauber struggled with mechanical gremlins. Ferrari's Felipe Massa suffered a gearbox problem and then an electrical glitch, but he still managed to complete a planned race simulation. The Brazilian was nearly 0.5 second slower than Glock, and less than a tenth of a second ahead of Nick Heidfeld, who lost track time with two mechanical problems. The test concludes on Thursday with the same three drivers still at the wheel.
